What is a sworn translator?
A Sworn Translator is a translator authorized by the Supreme Court of the State (in this case the State of Quintana Roo) or by the Federal Supreme Court. A Sworn Translator is authorized to prepare certified or official translations (with legal validity) in the state or country where he/she has been granted this authorization.
How can you find an expert translator in Cancun or in the State of Quintana Roo?

In this case, it is important to take into account that a translation made in Mexico for use in another country will generally not be accepted for procedures with governmental institutes or authorities in other countries. What kind of documents require a sworn translation?
